Experience OUTLAW in it’s intended format through this reel. Taking you on a front-row ride, followed by a cinematic offride aerial sequence, this reel allows you to get up close and personal with OUTLAW.
OUTLAW represents the pinnacle of what I believe a modern inverted rollercoaster is capable of. It is on the site of a Colorado hillside, allowing the layout to dive and swoop down canyons, over a creek, and through the highlands. The ride is designed as a complete experience, from first reveal on approach and grand vista overview, to the actual on-ride visuals and soundtrack. Each moment was carefully sculpted visually, then physically.

breakdown - plan
A plan view of the ride reveals the path of the layout and organization of elements, and service blocks. Notice also the spacing of structural supports, higher g-force sections and sections lower to the ground have denser supports, while low stress moments require less dense supports.
The layout follows an ‘out-and-back’ style format, traveling far linearly but staying compact laterally.

breakdown - elevation
An elevation lets us see the terrain difference of about 40’ from the top of the hill to the valley. Note the canyon drop that carries the ride all the way to its lowest point and highest speed! Track curvature and directional change is represented by the orange (y axis) and red (x axis). The length of each marker represents the radius of each curve.
